theladymisskier: this is me 1990. i designed this catsuit made out of pucci tights and executed by Mr. David…a.k.a. Glamamore. This poloroid was taken moments before hitting the stage for my first london performance at a rave ,opening for Big Audio Dynamite, who brought us over just for the occasion. It happened to be the week of our first release and the B side was also an instant smash that week- “groove is in  the heart” . I had already written the lyrics a few weeks before Towa played me the familiar Herbie Hancock bass loop from the soundtrack to one of my favorite movie soundtracks “Blowup. “To this day, people think Bootsy Collins wrote the baseline but it’s Herbie Hancock. and i layed the vocal don in  a one take. it was the b-side to the wickid synth based “What is love” - Lady Miss Kier
